Cemetery

It was a nice walk to the cemetery. Modern gravestones look exactly the same, nothing individual, but those old metal crosses from the end of 19th and the beginning of 20th centruy look very impressive. It was creepy to walk near fresh graves, flowers on which were not even covered with snow, but in general it was quite calming.



  



  

Holiday

Today we came from Ylläs. Mulled wine, fireplace, sauna, hiking in the forest, sausages on fire, cheeky birds, reindeers near the road… Pictures are clickable.

Relationship

Our relationship is quite unstable. We're shaking from love to hate and back so easily. Sometimes I'm thinking how could I be with her for such a long period of time and sometimes I'm wondering how could I even think about breaking up. We can be checking engagement rings one day and looking for separate apartments the next one. I wish it could teach us something but it does not. It's just suffering for nothing though having positive moments are still worth it. We're not suitable for each other at all but we're still together. Unfortunately I can't predict for for how long. I just hope for the best.

I was trying to entitle the block with icons, which I decided to put on my site into the right column and "Freedom is having a choice" suddenly occured. I'm not Richard Stallman and I would have never made a good ideologist but this time it turned out to be not that bad.

Gulf of Bothnia Shore

We (Juk and me) went to Kiikeli today to cycle and to take some pictures. I've been mainly jumping from stone to stone and wondering where is the water slowly disappearing and Juk was mainly taking pictures. It was really nice to be out in nature for a while.

Finally I copied these pics. I didn't find much interesting stuff as I've been here already and I've been to other ski resorts also. But having a short walk and a short climb uphill was better than sitting in the classroom.

It was closed but we didn't come to ski.

Travelling

Kemi - Saarikoski - Ranua and back in two days. It's not around the world of course but travelling around local sights is not less wonderful. Discovering new places have always been very exciteing for me.

Geek Fun

I'm sure there are not that many people in the world that in the middle of the night make Festival text-to-speech engine read Shakespeare's sonets and get some kind of pleasure out of it or just have fun. But it's really exciteing to listen to it as today machines can speak tomorrow they're gonna eat us! Maybe I have some irrational fears towards being eaten but at least they'll destroy us. Remember Terminator, it's all true! Unfortunately or maybe fortunately they can speak but they can't talk.

Eurovision

Finland is the first! Lordi is the best! There were a lot of opinions about them and people were saying that it's gonna be just embarassment but I'me sure that if Tomi Metsäketo was sent he would not be the first.

Nice park five minutes walk from my place. It looks wonderful no matter how bad the weather is.

LiveInternet.ru

Захлёбываясь в пользователях LiveInternet.ru постепенно умирает. Пользователей хотят все и все хотят много пользователей. В свое время и LiveJournal из закрытого invite-only клуба превратился в массовый ресурс, так и ли.ру, будучи изначально местом доступным для всех, ищет любые пути привлечения всё новых и новых пользователей. Только вот дело в том, что LJ в состоянии обеспечить приросту нормальную жизнь на ресурсе, в основном за счет распределенной системы и грамотно продуманного софта, а на ли.ру постоянно приходится любоваться волшебными цифрами 503 (Server Unavailable). Не справляется сервер. Да и ли.ру уже совсем другой, да и пользователи не те. Да, первой волны давно уже не стало, но такие вот они волны: поднимаются и растворяются. Посмотрем, что будет дальше. Может что-то и изменится, когда цифра 503 станет появлятся 24 часа в сутки.

P.S. И не в панелях дело, мне вот как-то плевать, где она. И не в рекламе, Adblock для Firefox решает все проблемы. А еще я не жалуюсь и уходить не планирую. И кричать об этом не буду.
