Saving your ass by signing a petition blaming your teacher for incompetence just because you can't solve some assignment isn't that nice, don't you think so? If you don't understand a shit it might not be just teacher's fault. I managed to pass this course last year and no, I wasn't familiar with the subject before. So don't call me an exception. And I'm not gonna solve or sign anything.

yep. right about almost everything. but... you are some kind of programming freak, therefore an exception in some places :)
Why to blame a teacher if you aren't ready to do anything yourself? Teachers are there to help you to learn, they give the tools and all that shit but they can't do everything for you. Some people just go to school to socialize and maybe they are thinking that they will suck the knowledge magically from the air just by sitting there. And trust me, I know what I'm talking about. Been there, done that and so on =)
Oh, forgot one thing. As Rux mentioned, don't think that others are as higly motivated as you ("OMG, need to know everything there is to know, right now"). I know that you can't sleep if you don't know how to solve something.
